We are a family of 4 devoted to serving 1–the God who loves us and sent His son to die for us. We have been blessed to be called to a life of ministry in the jungle city of Pucallpa, Peru where we use our gifts as teachers to serve the missionary families of the area. Our school, SAM Academy, frees missionary parents to be fully in ministry while their children receive a well-structured education in a nurturing atmosphere focused on their own spiritual transformation. We seek through our service to bring about redeemed lives, beautiful churches and transformed communities, both through our support of the ministries in place in this region, and our own discipleship of the amazing children in our care.
SAM Academy is a ministry of South America Mission. Our school provides services to multiple missions in the Peruvian jungle region as well as missionary families from different national backgrounds. We operate using the US school calendar and a US curriculum, offering a a competitive course schedule and a US diploma upon graduation. SAM Academy is able to offer classes in 1st-12th grade depending on the needs of the school community each school year.
Mike is the current school director. Along with directing, he teaches a variety of math and science classes at the high school and middle school level. Marcy teaches in elementary while Ella and Liam attend the school.
